The Montenegro Technology and Startup Bridge (MTSB) is a State Department-supported program since 2021. It plays a crucial role in addressing the demand for more impactful initiatives that foster the growth and advancement of the startup ecosystem in Montenegro and the Western Balkans region. MTSB functions as a bridge, connecting the emerging startup landscape in the Western Balkans with well-established startup communities in six designated areas across the United States: Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; Austin, Texas; Portland, Maine; Chicago, Illinois; and New York.

Through the Soft Landing Program we offer a focused and tailored experience to three mature startups per year. By sending them separately to specific U.S. cities- Phoenix, Denver, and Portland, Maine, we aim to provide pinpointed market opportunities and mentorship, boosting their chances of success.
Our ultimate aspiration is to assist these chosen startups in establishing a strong foothold in the American market, potentially opening subsidiaries and achieving a momentous milestone for the entire Western Balkans, Montenergian and Digital Den community.

On the flip side, the seven chosen startups form part of the Acceleration Program, engaging in boot camps in Chicago covering idea validation, market development, business strategies, go-to-market plans, growth, production, capital fundraising, culminating in the Funded House event at the SXSW conference in Austin. Additionally, they will undergo mentorship and pitching sessions in New York City. This experience aims to empower startups with essential skills and knowledge, preparing them for success in the competitive global startup arena.
